Cherrywood Prairie and Pond

The Cherrywood Prairie and Pond Conservancies are owned by the Cherrywood Neighborhood Homeowners Association (HOA). The HOA began a much-needed prairie restoration project in 2018, utilizing the services of Midwest Prairies, LLC, located in Evansville, WI. Since that time significant progress has been made in the restoration of the prairie. The prairie management plan is regularly updated to reflect the progress made as well as to plan for the next several years. The updated prairie management plan and maps are included below.

We also rely on help from volunteers to maintain the prairie and pond areas. This has included plantings by the sign, installation of bluebird houses, brush clearing, burning of brush piles, etc. We also have supported several Eagle Boy Scout projects to install and maintain benches and to build and install bat houses. Thanks to all who help make the neighborhood a better place to live!
